I've heard lots of good things about Etsy from other lampworkers. In case you have no idea what Etsy is, it's an online store dedicated to showcasing handmade goods. As I've mentioned before, I've been thinking about moving away from FeeBay for a while now, but living in Australia doesn't really leave a lot of options. I'm never going to be the type of beadmaker that enjoys stockpiling 92,526 items to sell at the occasional bead show and/or heading out to local markets to sell my items, so, Etsy seems like a viable alternative.
The good things about Etsy are that unlike eBay - which is now inundated with mass produced crap - is that selling your items is much cheaper. It's also much easier to shop on Etsy over my website - you just add the items you want to your cart and pay immediately - so there's none of that mucking around when I put website specials up. Once the item has sold, it's sold - so there's no disappointment from the buyer's perspective in having to wait for an email from me to find out whether or not the item you're interested in has sold.
So, if you want to check out my store on Etsy, feel free to do so. There's nothing for sale at the moment, but over the coming weeks, I hope to add some items as time permits. I made a few encased florals today which I hope to add to my store in the next few days.
Okey dokey, that's it outta me for the day. Thanks for dropping by!
