The Peter Pan Syndrome...

So I'm just about to watch Titanic again. I would like it made known, just for the record, that since I'm the most stubborn cow on the face of the planet, I absolutely refused to go see this movie at the cinemas when it came out. I hate it when movies are "hyperinflated" to mega proportions, as they very rarely live up to expectations.

However, DH Russ eventually persuaded me about 5 years after the movie came out to hire it on DVD and I really did enjoy it. I can however still remember sitting there with a pained expression on my face when it first started. Don't get me wrong, I adore Kate Winslett, but it was the thought of Leonardo di Caprio that turned me off. And why, you may ask? Well, he's always looked around 12 years of age to me. However, having said that, I do think he has potential. You know, he's one of those people that seems to be afflicted with the "Peter Pan Syndrome" whereby he always seems to look about 15 years younger than his actual age.

Don't get me wrong, he's a good looking man, but I'd always used the term "man" loosely when it came to Leo, that is, until today out of curiosity, I checked his profile on IMDB.com, to find that out he's actually only about 5 years younger than me. He's looking better these days - more mature. Give him 10 years, and he would be someone I'd say is quite appealing to me. Mind you, in 10 years' time, I will be around 48, so.. I don't hold out much hope for Leo looking my way. Like I had a chance in any event, right? LOL.

Enough out of me for one day. Off to bed to dream about LdC. Or someone anyway.
