Sunday Afternoon Chat. . .

I washed my quilt yesterday, and after bringing it in from the clothesline and wandering away to do something else, I came back to find Tasha had made herself comfortable in her "hidey hole".

So, apart from boring household tasks, what else have I been up to? Last night DH Russ & I went over to his eldest son's house for a BBQ. The weather the last few days has been unseasonably warm - yesterday it reached 31C (88F) and today has been even worse - at the time of typing this (5.30 pm) it's still hovering around 34C (93F) - crazy really, since summer doesn't start here for another 6 weeks. I dread to think what summer is going to be like if it's this warm at the end of October. I'm one of those people that loathes summer - not that I'm crazy about the dead of winter either, but somewhere in between autumn and winter is my favourite time of year.

Anyway, after the BBQ and some chit chat, we sat around to watch a DVD - "The Ultimate Gift", starring James Garner and Drew Fuller. The story is about a young man, Jason Stevens, (Fuller) from a super rich family who has more or less lived his life on the party circuit (think Paris Hilton). When his grandfather (Garner) passes on, he thinks he'll continue living the high life as always, however, his grandfather has other ideas, which sets Jason on a journey of self-discovery. It's one of those "can money really buy happiness?" type of stories. I won't give any more of the plot away, but suffice to say, I really think you'd enjoy it.

Okay, enough movie reviews out of me for one day. LOL.

And what about beads? Well, although the last two days have been extremely warm (meaning my oxy concentrator has been playing up something awful), I managed to finish a new set of beads - they'll be up on eBay tomorrow morning if you'd like to come back and check them out. These will be the last beads I'll have for sale until after DH Russ & I get back from our mini vacation. Next weekend I will be working in the studio for a few hours as I'm putting together a few beads for my Canadian bead making buddy, Tonia, but other than that, I won't get a chance to go anywhere near the studio again until the weekend of 3 November.

So, that's been my weekend. I'll probably update the blog again before I go away (well, I'll definitely update it again tomorrow when the beads are up on eBay). In the meantime, thanks for stopping by!
